I like them both but feel that the tree is a little insignificant in both. I think they both would benefit from cropping. Keeping the tree off-set maintains its uniqueness but giving it a greater size makes it a better focal point. Since you asked….
I like the one with lots of sky. To me this photo is not about the tree itself but its insignificance in comparison to big land and sky. Interesting what different perspectives we can get from the same image.
